Calcium carbonate
CaCO₃
Source, purity, particle size and intended industrial or agricultural use are specified for each enquiry.
Request a quotationThese materials are assessed on request. The source specification must identify the material, composition, analytical basis, test methods and intended use. A chemical name or formula does not establish purity, suitability, registration or current availability.
Technical specification
| Parameter | Product-specific confirmation |
|---|---|
| Scientific & commercial identity | Calcium carbonate, CaCO₃. Distinguish the compound assay from elemental Ca or CaO equivalent, and identify ground or precipitated material where relevant. A chemical formula does not establish fineness, neutralising value or agricultural suitability. |
| Identity & composition | Confirm the exact material, mineral or chemical composition, purity and declared analytical basis against the manufacturer specification. |
| Calcium & magnesium basis | State which components are measured and whether results are reported as elements, oxides or carbonates. Confirm the mineral composition and relevant methods; these reporting bases are not interchangeable. |
| Physical properties | Confirm moisture, particle-size distribution and product form. For granules, agree strength and fines limits where needed. |
| Agricultural suitability | Where agricultural liming use is proposed, confirm the applicable neutralising value, reactivity, fineness and destination requirements. Intended use must be supported by the specific product documentation. |
| Impurities & destination limits | Agree the relevant impurity limits and analytical methods for the intended use and destination. A representative analysis does not replace the actual shipment analysis. |
Applications & suitability
Mineral, chemical and formulation inputs are assessed against the buyer’s stated end use. Industrial and agricultural grades are not automatically interchangeable; suitability and any agricultural application require the relevant product documentation and qualified advice.
Packing & delivery
Confirm the physical form and compatible packaging or bulk transport arrangement, container size, marking, handling requirements, minimum order and delivery window with the selected source. Liquid and solid materials require product-specific arrangements.
Documents & market requirements
The document set is agreed for the product and destination: technical data sheet (TDS), safety data sheet (SDS) where applicable, and certificate of analysis (COA) for the actual shipment. Representative analyses are identified as such. Inspection by an independent provider may be coordinated when agreed.
Applicable EU and destination-market requirements are assessed for the selected product and supply route. REACH status, CE marking or any other compliance claim is supported by the relevant product documents before it is made.
